Home With Garden Designed by Chelsea Flower Show Winner For Sale

This charming Victorian home, located in the heart of London’s De Beauvoir, boasts a private garden designed by an RHS Chelsea Flower Show winner — and it’s now for sale.

Refurbished to the highest standard, the focal point of the house on Mortimer Road is the lower ground floor with a breathtaking rear glass extension. It has been described by agents as a ‘stunning family house perfect for entertaining’.

Inside, this property elegantly intertwines modern living with period features, and boasts four well-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, two reception rooms, a bespoke hidden bar, and utility room complete with a clay-coated wall to allow clothes to dry quicker without major humidity levels.

Everything has been designed to give the feeling of space. The fully-fitted kitchen, complete with marble touches, is the heart of the home. Meanwhile, the dining room at the back provides the ultimate entertaining hub. There’s also a smart home heating, lighting and sound system, plus sliding doors leading you out to the garden.

Head up to the first floor and you’ll find the wonderful principle bedroom, complete with a dressing room, fitted wardrobes, spacious shower room, and an island unit ideal for neatly storing accessories. There’s also a full-depth, boarded loft space above which provides ample storage (this could also be turned into a guest room, subject to planning permission).

The garden is the perfect hideout for rebooting after a long day. West-facing and designed by Chelsea Flower Show winner, Darren Hawkes, it includes a copper swinging egg chair, cedar cladding which bleeds into a series of shelves, and an outdoor kitchen.

Speaking about the space, Darren says: ‘The garden had to work hard to provide screening from neighbouring properties. The toughest task was to create a garden that could accommodate a trampoline which could be removed in the future without compromising the design.’

This property is currently on the market for £3,450,000 with Savills.
